Oyo State has taken a significant step forward in its security infrastructure with the arrival of two DA42 M-NG surveillance aircraft, delivered in July 2026 as part of the State Government's broader initiative to strengthen aerial surveillance and coordinated security operations across the state.

RAISA Technologies played a strategic role in the transaction process that contributed to the successful completion and delivery of this engagement.

Background

The acquisition forms part of Oyo State's ongoing efforts to modernise its security capabilities and address the growing demand for technology-driven approaches to public safety. Aerial surveillance has become an increasingly critical tool for state governments looking to cover large geographic areas, support ground operations, and improve the speed and quality of intelligence gathering.

The DA42 M-NG is a fixed-wing surveillance platform well suited to this kind of operational requirement, offering persistent aerial coverage and the capacity to support coordinated security responses on the ground.

RAISA's Role

RAISA Technologies provided strategic and transaction-support services throughout the engagement, contributing to the process that brought the acquisition to a successful close.

This is consistent with the way RAISA works across its aviation and systems integration engagements. Rather than simply supplying equipment, RAISA supports clients through the full transaction lifecycle, from initial scoping and supplier coordination through to delivery and handover. The goal is always the same: reduce complexity for the client and ensure the outcome actually lands.

The delivery of the two aircraft to Oyo State in July 2026 marked the successful conclusion of that process.

What This Means for Oyo State

The arrival of the DA42 M-NG aircraft represents a meaningful upgrade to Oyo State's security capacity. Aerial surveillance gives security operatives a level of situational awareness that ground-based systems alone cannot provide, particularly across the diverse terrain and wide geographic spread of a state the size of Oyo.

With these platforms now operational, the State Government is better positioned to coordinate responses to security incidents, monitor movement across key corridors, and support intelligence-driven operations in a way that was previously not available at this scale.

The acquisition was confirmed by Oyo State officials and received independent coverage from Channels Television on 28 July 2026.

A Growing Credential in Aviation and Security

This engagement adds to RAISA's growing body of work in aviation technology and security infrastructure across Nigeria. It reflects the kind of high-stakes, relationship-driven work that sits at the core of what RAISA does, bringing together technical knowledge, supplier networks, and transaction experience to deliver outcomes that matter to the institutions we serve.

We congratulate the Oyo State Government on this milestone and remain committed to supporting similar initiatives across Nigeria and the wider region.
